By using technical writing skills, you make sure your target audience understands your documents, which minimizes the risk of human errors.
Using the right terminology is also crucial in case of audits or errors, in order to know which steps were taken, what went wrong and what would have been the right approach.
And last but not least, documents should be suitable for long term use.
