Last month, the combined QbD Competence Centers Computer System Validation and Medical Devices paid a visit to Health House in Leuven. Together with 30 colleagues, we experienced one of the proposed storylines: “Experience the future of health and care”. It was fascinating to get a glimpse of what lies ahead of us.
Looking at futuristic implants and prosthetic body parts, being able to perform a virtual autopsy, stepping into 3-dimensional models, seeing your own blood running through your veins, all situations that sparked discussions about how to assure quality and compliance in this rollercoaster of technological and scientific advancement. Equally important, ethical contemplations that rise with all these new possibilities were shared bringing quite some food for thought.
Thank you Health House for this inspiring evening!
