Now that it seems like we’re finally taming the COVID beast, many companies are preparing to make the switch to ‘hybrid working’: combining working from home with going back to the office.
This concept, however, is not as self-explanatory as you may think. How do we make sure our people work as comfortably at home as they did at the office? Which types of tasks are we going to perform at home and which ones at the office, with efficiency and well-being in mind? And which role does the office still have to play in all of this?
At QbD, we’re going the extra mile to put the new way of working to everyone’s advantage. If you need some inspiration, just follow our lead.
“At QbD, we’re going the extra mile to put the new way of working to everyone’s advantage.”
Investing in people
The first step for improvement is to provide your team with an efficient home office. QbD is offering the possibility to use additional office equipment to increase everyone’s work comfort, decrease possible ergonomic concerns, and overall make life a little bit easier.
The more you invest in your employees, the more they and your company will benefit from it in the long run.
Redefining HQ
Hybrid working has definitively changed the purpose of the classic office. It is no longer the place where everyone needs to be all the time. If you want to guarantee smooth collaboration, re-evaluate the purpose and design of your HQ.
Take our HQ in Wilrijk, for example. Our building was already well-equipped for internal training sessions and events before the pandemic, and now we’re aiming for the ultimate design to sustain our growth ambitions and our valuable partnerships.
You want to turn your office into a safe and discrete environment where your workforce, stakeholders and clients can network, brainstorm and collaborate. This is not something you can do overnight – you have to jump and invest, which is why we’ve partnered with Toon De Somer, expert in office design and smart working.
“The office is no longer the place where everyone needs to be all the time, so we need to re-evaluate its purpose and design.”
Next to a high productivity rate and physical health, you want your team to feel good mentally and emotionally, right? So we didn’t set our limits at providing extra meeting spaces equipped with the right tech gadgets for physical and virtual trainings, international webinars and meetings.
Do they want to take a break? They’ll be able to enjoy brand-new informal lounges. Do they want to escape their home office to work in peace? Say no more, we’re installing ‘flex work areas’. And the icing on the cake: a nice terrace and a big polyvalent area to meet up after work and host events.
We’ve even hired an extra shining star to the team to give our partners and new employees a warm welcome and office tour. Now that we don’t have to hide behind a computer anymore, we should enjoy the benefits of human interaction again. In a safe, pleasant, and efficient way.
